This photo show 3 of the 4 stages of the lotus bloom - bulb, cup and droop. This looks like a great year for the lotus. The bumbles were first out and now the dragons are strating to appear this past weekend.
I caught this purple cone flower in a patch of other flowers this past weekend. There are a lot of people that pass by but few take the time to stop as they are getting to cross a road and wonder if the cars are going to stop or not.
Oil rendition of a lonely lotus waiting for its brethren to join it in it's bloom.
I headed over to check out the lotus and water lillies for this season. One water lily and the lotus are strating to come out. More to come in about a week or two depending on the weather. The bumbles are out too - 5 are working this flower.
